In February 2008, a multinational group of researchers published a study on the effect of creatine pyruvate and creatine citrate on performance*. The study was double-blind and placebo controlled. The study reached the following conclusion: creatine pyruvate and creatine citrate significantly increased the workout performance of the subjects during supplement use. The difference between these two supplements was that the performance-increasing effect of creatine pyruvate was found to remain almost throughout the entire workout, for a period of nine intervals, and it also improved aerobic metabolism, while the effectiveness of creatine citrate was found to weaken during the workout as early as in the second interval (one workout contained ten intervals). It can be interpreted from this that creatine pyruvate also improves endurance.
